Healthy Turkey Burger Recipe for Clean Eating Diet Plan

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pounds of organic lean ground turkey
  • 1 piece of whole wheat bread
  • 1/2 tea spoon of paprika
  • 2-3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 tea spoon of ground ginger powder
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 1 dash of ground black pepper
  • 1 tea spoon of lemon juice
  • 1 table spoon of nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tea spoon of vegetable oyster sauce
  • 2 half-table spoons of of real butter
  • 1/2 table spoon of corn starch
  • 1/2 table spoon of white wine
  • 1/2 haas avocado, peeled, de-cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 table spoon of shredded all natural mild cheddar

Instructions

  1. Break whole wheat bread into large pieces, and add to a food processor. Pulse and chop until bread pieces become crumbs.
  2. On stove top, heat frying pan on high. Add one of the half table spoons of butter. When butter melts, spread it out and add bread crumb. Cook until bread crumb becomes slightly toasted.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add ground turkey, bread crumb, corn starch, white wine, sea salt, pepper, minced garlic, ginger powder, paprika, lemon juice and oyster sauce. Mix thoroughly with clean hands.
  4. Using your hands, very gently roll and shape turkey meat into two balls. Then press them into fat patties, and place on a plate. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Over stove top on high heat and using a frying pan or skillet, melt the other half table spoon of butter. When butter melts, spread it evenly, and add turkey patties.
  6. Let patties cook and sizzle for 1/2 minute. Flip them over with a spatula, and let the other side cook for another 1/2 minute.
  7. Flip burger over again, and cook for another 1/2 minute. Repeat the flip-and-cook process for the next 2 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat to medium-high. Flip-and-cook again for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Reduce heat to medium. Flip-and-cook again for another 2-3 minutes.
  10. Keep flipping patties and cooking them until they are thoroughly cooked.
  11. Transfer patties to serving plates. Top with shredded cheese and avocado slices.
  12. Enjoy with a side of fresh salad.
