Clean Eating Idea – Apple Crisp Topping
Tonight I added homemade apple crisp and topped it, along with a splash of cinnamon, over two scoops of Tillamook Old-Fashioned Vanilla ice-cream.
Here are the ingredients in Tillamook ice-cream from Tillamook’s website at http://www.tillamook.com/.
Nonfat Milk, Cream, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Contains less than 2% of the following: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Cellulose Gum, Mono- and Diglycerides, Polysorbate 80, Carrageenan, Vanilla.
Here’s how I made the apple crisp topping:
- 1/2 medium apple
- 1/2 tbl. sp of butter
- All-natural brown sugar
- Chop 1/2 apple into small cubes.
- Heat frying pan on high.
- Add 1/2 tbl. sp. of butter.
- Wait until butter melts, and add apple.
- Add 2 generous splashes of all-natural brown sugar.
- Stir fry until apple cubes are golden on the outside.

Remember, clean eating isn’t about dieting and avoiding food. It’s about eating — literally — as much all-natural, non-processed foods as you possibly can. And that includes ice-cream :O)
